3 Keys to Successful Racing

Ava and Kaitlyn
Fun Run Buddies

Anyone who has ever run with me or seen me run will appreciate the sarcasm and my excitement in this post. I have entered a lot of races but never actually won anything but participation certificates. But by following these 3 simple rules I finally earned myself a 2nd place medal. Whooo hoooo!!!

1. Train with someone faster than you
2. Never race with someone faster than you
3. Move to a very small town where there are more prizes than participants

5K in 26 min.
a suprising personal best

Ava crossing the finish line and getting her medal from the 1 mile fun run.

I worried the 5K had killed you when I didn't see you at church. I'm glad you got a medal. Maybe after the next race you'll have to and can frame them at the arts and crafts center. LOL. You should be proud of that time! Way to go!

This comment isn't for this post, but I just wanted to leave it somewhere- I love the "Day in the Life" pictures. I forget what a gorgeous family you are! I was pleased to see Chris in a Utah cap and Brad in an Army shirt. I feel like I still have some long distance bond.

I've run with you. And I would do it again, you're faster... but I WON'T race you! :)

Way to go Christy!! That is fantastic!! It doesn't matter how you got the medal, as long as you got one! The very reason why I have a box of hardware from races, is because I followed those very same 3 rules! Hehehe. Congrats!
