Hawaii of the South?

Before we left Hawaii someone told us that Alabama is the Hawaii of the South. Well it took me six months of searching but I think I found something that might come close. Some friends and I spent the day in Destin, Florida. A full day of Shopping!, Laying Out!, and Restraunts! and most importantly -no kids-. But after such a relaxing day, I am glad to see them today. Thanks for the wonderful Mother's Day treat Brad.

I was having a panic attack just getting in the water thanks to a totally awesome Kauai trip but then someone said I was scared or chicken or something so I had to get in. I'm glad I did because we had a blast!

These were the shots I got. There was quite a discussion about how everyone was going to stand. I think the ladies are looking pretty good here!

Love the beach houses. If it weren't for the hurricane insurance we might be able to afford one someday.





We got to do a lot of shopping without kids and Amanda got some great chairs at a side-of-the-road garbage sale. Some of the stores we went to were a little ridiculous though. Christina's holding a dress that was only $200. Kim's holding a dress that was actually marked down $200 to $320. What a steal!
