Day-Trip to Florida

After driving 2 hours the kids were ready to get out of the car so when we passed this park we decided to stop and play even tough we weren't where we were going yet.
Friendly Squirells
Under the Oaks Park

Mikey loves to swing!

Whe we got to Tydall Air Base we had to stop and get sunscreen (because the sun finally came out) and stop for some food.

You've got to love Florida Beaches.
I think this was one of the beaches featured on Shark Week?
We're in for some fun!
And a really long walk

Daeli gave up walking as soon as she saw the sand. All she wanted was the sand and didn't understand why we had to walk another 50 yards to get to the water.

I guess she was glad to get in the water!

Everyone played good and I didn't even lose any of them. And no sharks sighted. After my Kaui experience I couldn't just lay out and let the kids play, I was constantly scanning the water. Dang those fears, I hate it!

Mikey is so sweet. I love having my little boy.

I love my waterproof camera!
Ava was having so much fun collecting sea shells.

Emma was collecting the gross dead crabs and such.

Overall the drive was worth it, The kids were great! I definitly miss Hawaii, the proxcimity to the beach, and my great friends there. Can't complain about life in Alabam though. Great friends and plenty to keep me busy.

Totally reminds me of a park we went to in Georgia last time we were stationed here. Love, love , love beach pics!!!

Fun! Looks like and awesome beach, minus the predators. I hope I never have to pull teeth out of my kids' mouth. I'm not extremely squeamish, but something about wiggly teeth just grosses me out! You're braver than me!

That park you went to looks a lot like the one on Hickam by that one place I can't remember. Hahaha! And I love the warning sign on the beach. Classic! =)

What a relief that you didn't spot any sharks!

That park looked awesome!!! How lucky to find that one along the way....looks like you guys had a fabulous day. Did you have a shark attack in Hawaii? Now I am not going to be able to lay out on Saturday when we go to the beach! Nice!:) Glad you guys had fun.
